Rosh Haayin Youth Gospel choir

Rosh Haayin Youth Gospel choir was established in 2014 at the Begin High School. Starting 2017, it works under the auspices of the Symphony- Rosh Haayin Conservatory of Music, conducted by Ilan Ben Arie, artistic director of the choir since its first day. Recently he was joined by Adi Yonatan as a vocal director. There are 22 singers and 8 musicians in the choir. The choir took part in several international festivals and collaborated with leading artists in the field of Black Music, such as Roy Young and Hilary Sargent.

Avner Kenner and “Pure In-Tensions” acapella choir

This Acapella ensemble will perform gospel arrangements for the best acapella pieces such as: Real Group, Take 6 and more.

Noa Blumer, Yael Zori- soprano;  Aya Sivan, Aviv Peck- mezzo soprano; Ofri Baider, Carmel Gozian- alto; Roy Ungar, Hillel Yuval- tenor; Gai Trax- bass.

Avner Kenner, the musical director of the ensemble, is a pianist, composer, and arranger. He is the creator of “14 octaves” with Yoni Rechter, “The Premiere” with Mazi Cohen and Yoel Lerner. He was the producer for many artists, including Arik Einstein, Gidi Gov, Yehudit Ravitz, Nurit Garlon, Gali Atari, and more. He composed music for more than 90 films, theater, and TV productions. Tonight, you will hear: It Don’t Mean a Thing, Ye Faithful, Shiny Stockings, The Herald and many more in beautiful gospel arrangements.

The Portugalys and Amir Dadon on one stage. Amir Dadon- a talented singer, guitarist, and singer-song writer, among the most well-known musicians in the Israeli cultural scene.

For over 30 years, Iris and Ofer Portugaly are leading one of the prominent Gospel and Jazz ensembles in Israel. They combine African American music tradition with local flavors creating a new music style: Israeli Gospel Jazz.

The Portugalys have produced seven albums and countless musical collaborations, recordings, and performances with leading Israeli and international artists.

For this special festival production, the Portugalys will host Amir Dadon- a talented singer, guitarist, and singer-song writer, one of the most prominent musicians in the Israeli cultural scene. Over the course of the past decade, Dadon became a familiar name in every Israeli household. He performed with Idan Raichel, Shlomo Artzi, Rita, Arkadi Duchin, Mati Caspi, and others. Thanks to his big voice and tons of “star quality”, famous hits, and three successful albums, Dadon became one of the most popular singers in Israel. Among the songs tonight: Choose Right, Big Light, Every Day Like a Miracle, The Good Spirit, all in moving gospel arrangements.

Oscar and The Band of Life believe that music is a universal language that unites people no matter what their ethnicity, beliefs or background may be. Their motto is: Your words create your world so always SPEAK LIFE!

The band effortlessly fuses multiple genres together to form a harmonious mix of style and performance under the unifying theme of creating “LIFE MUSIC”.

Dr. Oscar Williams is an accomplished musician, composer, educator, author, artist, and U.S. cultural ambassador. He is the founder of the Speak Life Music and Art Academy in Texas and the musical director of the Potter House Church. Together, Oscar and the Band have traveled all over the United Stated and to more than 20 countries around the world. This is their first visit to Israel, and they are looking forward towards meeting Israeli audience with great excitement.
